BHRE T-Shirt Tradition!
Join us inside during Home for the Holidays, Saturday, Dec. 4 from 10am — 2pm!
For over 25 years, Melrosians have come to our office for this creative craft. It nicely coordinates with the Melrose Chamber's Home for the Holidays (HFTH) each year. Most get dropped off by the HFTH trolleys (view trolley map PDF).
As locals enter, they choose a decal and find a spot in the crowded office to color the decal (first presented to us by Scott Boyages of Geiger.com back in the late 1990s, that kicked off the tradition and is still supplying them today). Then, the kids head over to Brad and he helps them get sized up for a T-Shirt. A short wait in line continues to one of our agents that take the decal and iron it onto the shirt. Many of the kids leave wearing their self-made T-Shirt and a big smile! Franklin Square businesses host Santa and his hayride, and Santa makes stops at BHRE to greet the kids. Hundreds of shirts later, HFTH wraps up for another year.
Though there are times like these when we may need to switch things up a little bit in order to carry on with the tradition.
Be sure to stop by our office at 193 Green Street on Saturday, December 4th from 10am - 2pm for a "make-your-own" t-shirt craft.
Have fun and happy holidays!
